Tiny in size, Switzerland is a country with tremendous global presence. To consumers, the Swiss flag is a seal of approval, a visual representation of luxury, quality, precision and trust. These high-end associations were built over time by a collective of successful Swiss companies which together have shaped the way the world views Switzerland. This site is primarily a tribute to the Swiss brand but also serves as an archive of all brands which leverage “Swiss-ness” in their marketing.

Hero Jams and Preserves

Founded by Gustav Henckell and Gustav Zeiler in 1886, Hero is Switzlerand’s leading producer of jams and preserves. This Lenzburg-based company is privately held and employs over 3300 people in fifteen countries including the UK, France, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, USA and Japan.

Hero jams and preserves are all produced in Switzerland and contain absolutely no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. They are 100% natural and certified kosher by the Orthodox Union.

Despite the relatively small package, there are a number of Swiss branding elements including two Swiss flags (front and back of label), a tagline: “Switzerland’s Best”, and on some jar lids a visual of the Matterhorn mountain. (Primary source: www.hero.ch)
